G43 Glock Review

Since we had some extra time with the Glock 43x, we brought in our friend and certified Glock Armorer Kyle Braschler from The Armorer's Fix to give CrossBreed fans an especially in-depth breakdown of Glock's new firearm.

Why The G43 Glock Could Be The Most Dangerous Gun On The Planet

The extended height offers another advantage over the Glock 43: room for more rounds. While the Glock 43 comes with a clean 6 round magazine, the 43x holds 4 extra rounds to bring those rocky numbers up to 10 rounds. When it comes to magazine capacity, bigger is almost always better and the extra 4-round 43x certainly delivers.

You can always add an extended slide and/or magazine extension to your Glock 43, as there are many options on the market today. From piercing hands to shields, you're only limited by your budget.

Not only does the Glock 43x have front-end caps, it also features an nPVD finish compared to the standard Gen5 nDLC finish found on the Glock 43.

It's been decided how nPVD stacks up compared to nDVD, but oh well!

Is the Glock 43 Slimline the best assault rifle on the market today? We put this polymer frame under a single glass 9 microscope, then dissolve it in a range to determine if this Solvent subcompact is right for you.

The G43: Glock's Single Stack Nine

Originally the Glock pistol was made from a standard-sized pistol, the Austrian Army's P80 9mm pistol, which became the Glock 17 in the early 1980s. Even compared to a "compact" Glock 19 or G19X mullet, the 15+1 round capacity, 30-ounce weight and 4-inch barrel make for a great gun.

It wasn't until the introduction of the Glock 26 in 1995 that inches and ounces became significant enough to be considered a subcompact, measuring nearly an inch in length and height, and weighing a quarter pound at 10. + 1 standard magazine capacity.

However, the G26 "Baby Glock," with its double mag, was still as wide as the standard-sized G17 of a decade earlier—1.26 inches.

It would be another two decades before the introduction of the G43 in 2015, when the 9mm Glock finally lost its popularity. A truly slim pistol, the Glock 43 has a frame width of just over an inch and a slide width of 0.87 inches.

Also, in an important aspect for those with smaller hands, the distance from the rear to the trigger is 2.6 inches. While the Austrian polymer pistol giant dipped its toes into the slime pool before the G43. . in the last ten years.

The result was the G43, which proved to be such a hit with Glock fans, an accurate concealed-carry pistol for both duty and civilian use, that Glock sold more than a million slim 9mm pistols in its first three years on the market.

Safety Devices: "Safety Action" initiates safety, firing pin safety and drop safety. There is no factory option for manual safety

Note the inclusion of a belt tail - a unique feature of the G43 and prevents slide bite on these shortening pistols.

Glock 43 Vs Glock 42 For Concealed Carry

The G43 has been classified by Glock as a 4th generation pistol since it was introduced to the current market. Common to all Gen 4 Glocks is a rough textured frame (RTF) surface designed to increase traction, while the front of the forend is free of the awkward thumb grooves typically seen on Gen 3 Glocks.

Another similarity with the Gen 4 pistol is the advanced dual-fire spring assembly, which reduces recoil during the firing cycle while increasing the life of the gun, as the firing pulse is the main source of wear in any gun.

Gen 4s also feature a larger and reversible magazine release handle that can be swapped from the pistol's standard left side to right side (for use by right-handed shooters) without any additional parts.

The G43 has one thing that no other Gen 4 Glock, other than the G42, comes standard with: a built-in buttstock design that allows the shooter to have a higher grip, while allowing the Bugaboo to "pocket-size" the semi-stop. - auto. Pistol: Slide stab.

Finally, the extractor on the Glock pistol doubles as a Loaded Chamber Indicator (LCI), which indicates whether or not there is a loaded cartridge in the chamber.

The Glock 43 comes factory-fitted with basic surface controls – slide stop and magazine release – aimed at right-handed shooter use. Although the mag can be moved to the opposite side of the gun frame, there is no slide stop button for the left hand (mounted on the right side of the pistol). The only ambi control is a lever that can be used for disassembly.

We found the controls to be functional, although the standard slide stop was a bit difficult to remove due to the height of the fence surrounding it as part of the frame design.

This drawback can be overcome by using the "slingshot" method of cocking and ejecting the slide, or by installing an extended lever made by Vickers Tactics.

Guttersnipe Package For Glock 43

The Glock 43, from its inception, was designed to be used as a duty piece or backup gun for law enforcement, or as an EDC pistol for those interested in self-defense needs.

It certainly fits that profile, resembling popular past classics like the Beretta Cheetah/Browning BDA, Ruger LCP, or Walther PPK, but in 9mm instead of .380ACP. The Glock 43 will work in any orientation – accessory carry, IWB, shoulder, ankle carry – you name it and the G43 will be concealed with the best of them.

Although it shoots well, the G43 should not be considered a plinker or target pistol. Its primary purpose is self-defense and utility, and it is incorporated into every aspect of the Glock 43.

Also, even though it has 6+1 rounds on tap, the compact compromise makes it less than ideal for home defense, where a standard, fully loaded handgun like the Glock 17 has a 17+1 Shot magazine capacity. , mounting lights and lasers on the accessory rail, and a longer sight radius make it a better choice.

Glock 43 6 Rd 9mm Full Fde Pistol

Glock ships the G43 with a very thin 6-step magazine, a very thin magazine that is apparently designed with concealment in mind.

The gunsmith uses a unique polymer outer coating on the metal-framed magazine band to reduce the chance of belt wear, while protecting against corrosion built into the belt, while protecting against things like sweat while riding around the waist.
